About
Music is something we all can relate to. Whether it is classical or techno, jazz or heavy metal, it doesn't matter. Music can portray a message to anyone listening. I am passionate about music. There is no style I do not welcome. There are very few moments where I am more filled with joy then when I am sitting alone listening to music or playing my acoustic guitar.
Audio engineering is my niche. It's something I am really good at, and I enjoy every minute while doing it. Whether it is setting up a live stage, recording a band, mixing a song, or creating sound effects for film, I enjoy every second of it. Once I start working, it's hard to get me to stop.
Ever since I was a kid I have been making movies. Whether it was stealing my dad's camcorder to record action figures, or filming a full length comedy with my best friend, I have always been making videos. I spend countless hours watching countless movies, analyzing them to death and trying to find how I could have made them better. It's an addiction.

About Me
New England Institute of Art pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Audio and Media Technologies. I live to learn. I consider myself a philosopher in its truest definition. I embrace any opportunity to further my knowledge in any subject. Due to that, I found it hard to find what I really wanted to do for a career up until my Junior year of high-school when I discovered sound for picture and fell in love with it. Since then I have learned so much more then I expected to and have loved every second of it.
My name is Jayson Blacksmith. I am currently a student at the
I am about halfway through to getting my degree and am looking forward to getting into the field when I graduate. I have been volunteering at a local church, as a live sound engineer, mixing live performances at Sunday services and special events. I have also been involved in the production of 4 songs, recording and mixing them all, and helped an independent film group with ADR, Foley and setting up shots.
